Stop the wildlife killing contests

“Wolf-whacking”. “Predator tournaments”. These are trophy hunting events where wolves, cougars and other animals are killed for sport -- and cash prizes. [1]

This needless violence against defenceless animals is threatening the lives of some of BC’s most beloved wildlife -- and the BC government is letting it happen. [2]

When an online group invited people in BC to attend these ruthless tournaments, 47 groups sent an open letter to the Minister of Forests, Doug Donaldson, to ban these ruthless wildlife killing contests.[3] His response? Since it’s technically not against the law, he’s not going to do anything about it. [4]

But just because something might be legal, it doesn’t make it right. That’s where you come in.

A massive public backlash building on the momentum from the open letter will prove to decision makers that BC voters won’t stand by as wolves and cougars are murdered for sport. It could be enough to force the Minister to end these gruesome wildlife killing contests -- but for it to work, we need everyone sending the Minister messages now.

If you think these beautiful animals should be protected and not killed for fun, please send a message to Minister Donaldson now. It will only take 30 seconds.
