I am urging you to work together, across party lines, to deliver on the solutions required to tackle the dual crises of climate and inequality.

Canada is a wealthy country and we have enough to take on both these crises side by side. But to make it happen we need you to work together. Minority governments have collaborated to give us universal healthcare and the Canada Pension Plan. You must work together to deliver a just transition to a low-carbon economy, and a basic income to ensure everyone can meet their basic needs.

To address climate and inequality at the scale required, you must work together to: 
End fossil fuel subsidies
Create support and access to training and jobs for displaced workers, racialized, and structurally oppressed people, and youth
Support and fund Indigenous and community leadership to have ownership of transition projects 
Implement a permanent basic income to support people and communities through the climate crisis and beyond
