Tell Minister Thompson: No to Kindergarten cuts!

Update: Thompson also revealed the Ford government won't guarantee full-day Kindergarten beyond next year, which could leave parents without child care solutions. [3]

Education Minister Lisa Thompson just announced she’s considering throwing classrooms into chaos by scrapping the limit on primary school class sizes
. [1]

This would make for massive classes teeming with over 40 kids -- making it impossible for teachers to do their job, or for kids to get the individual attention they need to succeed and stay safe.

But Minister Thompson hasn’t made any moves -- yet. Right now, it looks like she’s testing the waters to see if public backlash is too big to proceed. [2]

So let’s give her that backlash. If thousands of us come together to sign the petition telling her that voters, parents, and the public stand firmly against scrapping class size limits - it could convince her to drop this idea and move on. But it will only work if we make it huge.

Will you sign the petition?

To: Ontario Education Minister Lisa Thompson

Don't scrap class size limits for primary school students, or full-day Kindergarten. Massive classrooms make it impossible for teachers to do their job, or for kids to get the individual attention they need. Parents and students can't afford to lose full-day Kindergarten.
