A dangerous 40ºC heat dome is settling in across Central and Eastern Canada. This kind of heat can be deadly. In 2021, a heat dome killed 619 people in Western Canada — mainly low-income, elderly, and disabled people without access to A/C.

Those deaths were entirely preventable. But in the two years since, our federal government has failed to equip Canadians to survive in a rapidly heating world.

Will you sign the petition now for an emergency debate on extreme heat?

Federal MPs:

As millions suffer through another deadly heat wave, host an emergency debate on Canadians' "right to be cool."
