Don’t ram a pipeline through the BC coast

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith and the federal government have just outlined a deal that will pave the way for a dirty tar sands pipeline from Alberta to the BC coast — without Indigenous consent and threatening our oceans, wildlife, rivers, and forests.
The last time an Alberta-BC pipeline was proposed, massive public outcry helped stop it in its tracks. This time around, the federal government is betting that people across Canada have changed their minds — that we’ll quietly accept a new pipeline rammed through the BC coast.
We’re launching an emergency petition to show them that they’re wrong. If you don’t want the government to ram a pipeline through the BC coast, add your name now.
Here is the petition text:
To Prime Minister Mark Carney and Energy and Natural Resources Minister Tim Hodgson,
A new tar sands pipeline from Alberta to BC makes no sense. It’ll destroy our climate, sink billions of public money into a dying industry, and put our precious oceans, rivers, and forests at risk.
Say no to Danielle Smith’s dangerous proposal to ram this pipeline through BC’s coast.
