It would provide affordable, secure and renewable power to people from coast to coast. And is an answer to the climate crisis that also connects our communities, builds up local economies, and creates good jobs.

Canada has a historic opportunity to build out an east-west electricity grid in partnership with provinces, territories, Indigenous rights-holders, and civil society. This project would ensure affordable, secure, and renewable power across the country while creating good jobs, improving health outcomes, and enhancing community resilience.
