Launch a national inquiry into systemic racism in policing

In the last four months, 10 First Nations people have been killed at the hands of the police in Canada.

The Assembly of First Nations (AFN) is calling for an immediate inquiry into anti-Indigenous racism within policing – which would dig deep in and investigate policing laws, including the use of extreme restraint techniques like the use of officers “knee on neck” and choke holds.

Add your name now to support AFN’s call for a National inquiry into anti-indigenous racism and policing, led by Indigenous communities.

Dear Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Public Safety Minister Dominic Leblanc,

We the undersigned support AFN’s call for a National inquiry into systemic racism in policing, led by Indigenous communities.

Sincerely,
