Tell the Canada Pension Plan: Divest from ICE
4,764 of 5,000
Millions of Canadians trust the Canada Pension Plan (CPP) to safeguard their futures, yet breaking research from Stand.Earth shows they have been investing our retirement savings in companies tied to ICE.
That means our pension funds are being used to profit off the violence ICE is unleashing in the US — kidnapping people off the street, separating families and ripping children out of their parents, arms, and violations of due process.
These are our retirement savings, and they should not support systemic human rights violations anywhere. Sign now to call on the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and management to stop using our pension funds to profit off of ICE.
Here is the text of the petition:
We, the undersigned, call on the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board to immediately review and end all investments in companies that profit from or support ICE and its immigration enforcement operation.
As stewards of Canadians’ retirement savings, you have a responsibility to ensure these funds are not linked to documented human rights abuses, including family separations, unsafe detention conditions, and due process violations.
Canadians expect their pension to reflect values of fairness, accountability, and respect for human rights. Continued investment in ICE-linked contractors undermines that trust.
We urge you to act now—divest from these companies, implement stronger human rights screening across all investments, and ensure our public funds are never used to support harm against vulnerable communities.
