Senators: Vote yes to Bill S-222 the Vote16 Act now

Sixteen-year-olds can enroll in the Armed Forces, drive a car, provide sexual consent, and be tried as an adult in court. They can make life-altering decisions about their own healthcare. And yet, they can’t vote.

In the face of democratic erosion worldwide, strengthening participation in our democracy is urgent. And that includes expanding voting rights for 16-year-olds in this country.

Any day now, the Senate will vote on Bill S-222 – the Vote16 Act that will amend the Elections Act to lower the voting age in Canada.

Email Senators now to vote YES to lower the voting age and expand democratic participation in Canada.
