Prime Minister Carney just launched “Build Canada Homes”, a new federal agency tasked with building housing.
The good news is that the government seems to be listening to our demand to focus on building deeply affordable, non-market homes like co-ops, public, and non-profit housing.
But they have no plans for what they were going to do for renters — or the millions of people struggling to afford housing right now.
