A steady stream of Canada's top Conservative politicians – including Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre – have been spotted posing for photos with anti-queer and trans activists – wearing shirts spreading hate speech and messages reading “Straight Pride”.

This on the heels of Conservative New Brunswick Premier Blaine Higgs' hateful anti-trans policy and rumours of a Freedom Convoy 2.0 targeting queer and trans rights spreads the message loud and clear. This shouldn't need saying:
the lives of queer and trans people are not political or ideological tools.
Emboldened by the anti-trans hate that has become endemic in the Trumpian Republican party in the US - the far right in Canada is getting more and more aggressive in its attacks on queer and trans people – and Conservative politicians seem happy to support their hate in plain sight.
We need to stop them in their tracks. 2
We have a plan to confront these Trumpian culture wars before they take hold in Canada, by calling out this extreme rhetoric in the key battleground ridings that will decide the next election.
If we can get our message in front of the voters Conservatives need most it could be enough to force Pierre Poilievre and his far right cronies to back down.
