An overwhelming majority of Canadians voted for strong action to tackle the climate crisis -- in a close election where no party won an outright majority.

The Liberals need support from other parties to form government -- and that means that bold climate champions within the NDP and Greens could hold the balance of power in a minority parliament.

Together, the NDP, Greens and Liberals could deliver ambitious climate solutions in line with a made-in-Canada Green New Deal: slashing emissions, investing billions in the clean economy, and phasing out toxic fossil fuels while creating good jobs and tackling inequality.

But the Conservatives will also hold a lot of power in parliament -- and they’ll be fighting hard to stop the Liberals from agreeing to bold climate action. A massive show of support for bold climate action could embolden the Liberals, NDP and Greens to stand firm and champion ambitious solutions to the climate emergency as a condition of their cooperation.

With talks between parties already underway there’s no time to waste. Will you sign our petition asking the Liberals, Greens and NDP to cooperate for bold action on climate now?

To: Justin Trudeau, Jagmeet Singh and Elizabeth May:

A majority of Canadians voted for bold climate action. We call on your parties to cooperate for climate, by working together to:
- Create good clean jobs, especially for oil workers
- End fossil fuel subsidies
- Respect Indigenous and migrant rights

So we can slash global warming pollution in line with science, and build a sustainable economy for everyone.
